About the event
Sma’ Shot Day is Paisley’s annual celebration of the historic victory of local weavers in a famous dispute. Sma’ Shot Day is celebrated on the first Saturday of each July, when weaving families would traditionally take their holiday ‘doon the watter’.
There's lots to enjoy, including the Sma' Shot Parade which begins at 12 midday at Brodie Park, and ends up in Abbey Close down in the town centre. In addition to this, there's live music, children's entertainment, markets and exhibitions, and you don't want to miss the Burning of the Cork!
At the Sma' Shot Cottages, we will open from 12-4pm as usual to offer visitors guided tours of the museum, delicious food and drinks in the tearoom, and a slice of Paisley's history for all to enjoy!
